Online selling can be done with your very own store. There are online storefronts that are totally free and some that charge a small fee for extras and others that charge fees for everything.
- AtomicMall.com Atomic Mall has been around since 2008. This is a fixed listing price site. No listing fee, membership, or insertion fees. They charge a final value fee of between 3-6%. They offer premium accounts and additional listing options for extra fees. There is a $10-$12 non-refundable verification fee at signup to help weed out bad sellers which is credited back to your account. On October 15th, 2010 seller auction listings totaled 288,179 on their site. This looks like an active site.
- Bonanzle.com This site has been around since 2008. List items and up to 4 pictures for free. Final valuation fees include shipping but are reasonable. See the website for details. You only pay if you sell items. Sellers on this site sell general merchandise and collectables. The website offers promotions and live chat which some sellers really like. On Februrary 12, 2010 they had 2,625,047 items for sale. On October 15, 2010 the item count was 3,441,177 and is the 3rd most populated site for listings.Some sellers like this site and others do not.
- ioffer.com Free stores, no listing fees, free gallery, free photos. If an item sells you pay $1.25 for items under $25 and for items under $1,500 you pay $5 + 2.5% of the transaction amount over $100. They do offer extra services like featured on home page for an extra fee. With 6,387,832 listings on November 20, 2008 this is a popular place for sellers. On October 15, 2010 I noticed that the listing count on ioffer was no longer available so I can't say how they are doing, but I'll keep you updated when I get more info.

They have some additional options that are extra if you want them. With 2,906,852 listings on February 12, 2010 this is another popular place for sellers. Listings in October 2010 were up to 3,728,911 making it the second most popular auction site.
- blujay.com Free stores, no listing fees, 4 free photos, unlimited number of products, no selling fees if an item sells. Easy to use web interface lets you customize your store quickly. They have some additional options that are extra if you want them. With 607,445 listings on February 12, 2010 this is another selling option. On October 15th 2010 Bluejay had 777,377 items listed from sellers.
- RubyLane.com This site has been around since 1998. This ia a fixed price format site with no commission fees that offers shops. There is a minimum advertising fee of $20 a month for each shop. There is a onetime setup charge of $75 for each shop. Listing costs .30 cents to list an item for the first 150 items, then the next items up to 1000 are .20 cents each to list, each item over 1000 is 1 cent to list (listing fees offset by the minimum charge). Ruby Lane sellers focus on antiques, art, collectibles and jewelry. On October 15th, 2010 there were 412,646 items listed on Rubylane. People seem to like the ease of use and the customer service behind this service others think it is expensive if your stuff is not moving.

webstore.com this site allows you to have a fixed store and auctions as well. The stores are free, no buying or selling fees, no signup fees. On October 15, 2010 there were 248,620 items listed on the website.
