Free Auctions for Buyers & Sellers
An auction that does not charge a no listing fee or a no closing fee is considered a free auction. These types of auction or merchandise listing sites generally do not assist or provide additional services for the buyer or seller without paying for the premium service if one is offered.
- CraigsList.org No frills, no fees classified type forum. Started in 1995 the list has more than 550 cities in over 50 countries worldwide. They boast over 12 million page views per month, infact they are 8th on the list of most page views by engligh users. They make their money on ads for job postings and apartment rentals.
- epier.com No listing, insertion fees, or final valuation fees. Features include free photo hosting. They offer premium bundle service and additional listing options. In February 2012 there were 118,000 registered users and over 200,000 items listed.
- Wensy.com No listing fees, no closing fees, free stores, 100% free. When I visited the website on February 27, 2012 they had 11,109 registered users, 365,754 auction items listed on the site but when I clicked on the "with bids" button there were only 934 that had bids. Before listing anything on this site i would suggest you check it out and talk to other sellers because at first glance it looks like a waste of time. This auction site is heavy in collectables selling sports memoribilia, cards, stamps and coins
